The Centre for Children and Families in the Justice System (formerly The London Family Court Clinic) has been an innovator in the area of Domestic Violence. This site contains a wide variety of publications that can be printed directly from the site. It also contains links to their services in London, Ontario. One of the particularly helpful publications on this site is "Helping Children Thrive: Supporting Woman Abuse Survivors as Mothers: A Resource to Support Parenting" by Baker and Cunningham.

For persons working with Elder abuse the Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse is particularly helpful (see for Elderly above for more information).? Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO) has developed CLEONet, an online resource centre for people who work in community organizations and legal clinics across Ontario. The CLEONet web site has hundreds of resources, news articles, and events on legal issues affecting low-income and disadvantaged communities. You can also access all of the reources in this area of law.

The Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse is a fabulous site providing research, education and access to violence-related resources. This is an excellent tool for persons working in, or interested in, the area of family violence.

Ontario Health Promotion offers a course entitleed "Prevention of Domestic Violence against Immigrant and Refugee Women through Early Intervention".

"It Starts With You" is an excellent resource to help men to be inspiring role models for young boys and men in their life.There are specific resources for fathers, family members, educators, coaches and leaders. Everyone has a role to play in ending domestic violence.

"Love and Respect: Teens Helping Teens Develop Safe and Healthy Relatioinships in New Mexico" is an amazing tool that is a teen friendly resource usable by teens and teen educators anywhere. This tool will help to increase awareness and opportunities for dialogue between teens as well as with teens and adults about the issues of teen dating violence.

Dating Matters: Understanding Teen Dating Violence Prevention is a 60-minute, interactive training designed to help educators, youth-serving organizations, and others working with teens understand the risk factors and warning signs associated with teen dating violence.

Developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in partnership with Liz Claiborne Inc., Dating Matters also will highlight the importance of promoting healthy relationships.

Dating Matters takes place in a virtual school setting, complete with navigation through school hallways and classrooms. A teacher's whiteboard will present information in a user-friendly way and provide navigation, help, and interactive resources for use throughout the course.

The United Nations Secretary General's Campaign to End Violence Against Women as part of the United Nations Development Fund for Women, UNIFEM has launched a Global Virtual Knowledge Centre to End Violence against Women and Girls. The one-stop centre will support practitioners around the world in effective design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programmes.
