Kanawayhitowin website is part of the Kanawayhitowin Campaign to address woman abuse in Aboriginal communities across the province of Ontario, Canada. The Kanawayhitowin website has been created to support women experiencing abuse, families, communities and front line workers to better educate themselves with resources and strategies. To engage and unite communities around the seriousness of this issue, and hope for the healing of future generations.

Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin (an Ojibway phrase) translates to "I Am a Kind Man". At a time when violence is invading whole communities "I Am a Kind Man"?reminds us that violence has never been an acceptable?part?of Aboriginal culture. This website embraces the Seven Grandfather Teachings which show us how to live in harmony with Creation through?wisdom, love, respect, bravery, honesty, humility and truth.?This website has two components; one for adults and?one for youth.? ?

The Lillian Smith website contains lots of great information regarding domestic violence issues and available resources. ?This site also contains a number of very powerful video clips and public service announcements including a presentation that was done for 20/20. The 20/20 presentation is a must see for neighbours, friends, family members, employers, police and service providers to increase understanding about the nature of the issue and the impact on an entire family.

"It Starts With You" is an excellent resource to help men to be inspiring role models for young boys and men in their life. There are specific resources for fathers, family members, educators, coaches and leaders. Everyone has a role to play in ending domestic violence.
