Our Future

Currently, the FVP is in the growing stages of a very promising project that is already shaping new frameworks in protecting and helping women and children who have been victims of violence. Since the onset of the Family Violence Project in 2006, hundreds of additional victims of family violence have come forward and found safety and resources. As the collaborative continues to develop, Mosaic Counselling and Family Services recently completed a building expansion at 400 Queen Street South that allows the FVP to continue to bring hope and help into the lives of so many.

The Partners continue to build their relationships within?Mosaic as well as with other agencies and services within the Region of Waterloo in order that a truly seamless response can be developed. A former client of the agency phrased the hope and purpose of the collaborative best when she said, "This kind of service is really the foundation of a family centered community - a place to go during a crisis, a place to heal after assault or abuse, and a place to teach my children that abuse is never okay."
